Railway Recruitment Cell has released total 5647 vacancies for Apprentice out of which 564 posts are reserved for Ex-servicemen.

RRC Apprentice Eligibility Criteria for Ex-servicemen:
Age Limit:
The maximum age limit for the post of Apprentice is 24 years.

Age Relaxation for Ex-servicemen:
10 additional years for Ex-Servicemen to the extent of service rendered in Defense Forces plus 03 (three) years provided they have put in a minimum of 6 months service at a stretch.

RRC Apprentice Education Qualification 2024:
Apprentice (Electrical/Mechanical) -

Candidates must have NCVT/SCVT trade certificate with training period of 1 year.

Apprentice (S&T) -

Must have Information & Communication technology system maintenance with training period of 1 year.
Must have Braod based baisc training in information technology sector under centre of excellence scheme and advanced module of centre and excellence scheme in repair and maintenance of hardware of computer and peripherals.

Apprentice (Accounts/Personnel) -

1 Year stenography training.
Must have experience as computer operator and programming assistant.

Apprentice (Medical) -

Must have completed training program of Health Sanitory Inpsector and computer operator & programming assistant.
Must be 12th pass with Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

RRC Apprentice Selection Process 2024:
Apprentices will be selected on the basis of unit-wise, trade-wise and community-wise merit position. The merit list for each unit will be based on percentage of marks obtained in Matriculation (with minimumPersonnek 50% aggregate marks) + ITI marks in the trade in which Apprenticeship is to be done. The final panel will be on the basis of average of marks in matriculation and ITI.

RRC Apprentice Application Fee:
A non-refundable fee of ₹ 100/- (Rupees one hundred) only will have to be paid online.

Q1. How many posts of RRC Apprentice are reserved for Ex-servicemen?

564 posts of Trainee are reserved for Ex-servicemen.

Q2. What is the maximum age for Ex-servicemen?

24 years is the maximum age limit but Ex-Servicemen with a minimum of six month’s continuous service are allowed relaxation to the extent of the period spent in service plus three years subject to the condition that the resultant age after deducting his period of service from his actual age does not exceed the prescribed age limit by more than three years.
